My current body of 2-D art involves collage with mono-printed papers. Using acrylic paint and a gel plate (which negates the need for a press), I work with color, abstract textures, botanicals and black and white photography. It’s an energetic and free-form process, allowing me to experiment and delight in the unexpected.
Then I shift to assembling printed papers into meditative compositions. These separate processes allow me to engage in dual sensibilities that are in harmony, rather than in competition, with one another.
