Yukata Jewelry Show, Seattle WA
Vintage hand-dyed yukata cotton from Japan is the inspiration for the work in the Yukata Jewelry Show. The fabric, provided by Okan Arts in Seattle, was sourced from over 30 vendors in Japan. Twenty artists took the challenge—to design a piece of jewelry inspired by or made from this luscious and dynamic fabric. Visit the show.

This is my first time applying and am excited to try something new. I have always enjoyed wandering all over the Portland area to visit artists and see them work during this event. It’s a rare opportunity to get a peek inside art studios, watch demos and buy work.
Maker’s Studio Holiday Pop-Up
Maker’s Studio is a unique pop-up that will run for six weeks this holiday season featuring a rotating group of over 70 local makers. The event starts November 17 and runs to December 24. On Friday and Saturday evenings, you can meet the makers, have a toast and see demos and presentations. We all need a little cheer! A perfect way to support micro businesses, the arts and your fellow Portlanders.
