Stay On the Path Necklace
Indulge in complex detail within a harmonious and serene composition with this one-of-a-kind necklace.
As a longtime member of Portland’s stunning Japanese Garden, a place I find both calm and inspiration, I named this piece “Stay on the Path,” after the subtle posted signs in various parts of the garden—a perfect double meaning. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I must have had the Japanese garden in mind as I created these complementary textures—a spiral in gray and black and a “bamboo” crosshatch pattern in greens.
Black and white acrylic paint are added and then rubbed off to create the effect of a piece lovingly worn and aged.
What is life if not full of contradictions? A surprise burst of contrasting red is visible only from the side. The back is imprinted with the JP logo.
Connects via an oxidized sterling silver tube and hangs on a 24″ sterling silver chain.
Pendant measures approx. 2″ x 4.25″
