Shop Policies & Care

Shop Policies

Payment

I accept PayPal, which includes credit cards. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by credit card. I will accept cash or check for local Portland, Oregon, orders upon pickup.

Shipping

I ship packages with signature requirement by U.S. Mail. Most jewelry is made to order and not in stock. It is shipped within 2–5 days of ordering. More complex pieces might take longer. You will be notified if this is the case. Need it sooner? I can arrange for overnight or 2-day shipping at FedEx rates. I cannot ship to P.O. boxes.

International orders: I’m currently shipping only to Canada but am in the process of getting setting up the shop for shipping to other countries. Please contact me if you’re in a country other than Canada and would like to purchase a piece. I’d be happy to look into special arrangements.

Refunds/Exchanges/Returns

I hope you’ll be delighted with your small wonder. However, if you are unsatisfied, you are welcome to return the item within 14 days in its original packaging and original condition. Shipping is at your expense. I cannot be responsible for lost  or damaged items. I can’t return custom orders.

If you have a question or problem, please contact me.

Repairs

For earring wires or necklace finding problems, in most cases I am happy to fix these at no charge to you. Please email me with your concern.

To replace a lost earring mate, contact me for an estimate to create a new earring. Existing earring must be sent in order to make a match. Please note that because each piece is unique and made by hand, identical matches are very difficult to guarantee. Beauty lies in the imperfect!

Jewelry Care

Most of my jewelry is oxidized to give the work a sophisticated aged look. Avoid using silver polish, which will take off the patina. Instead, clean jewelry with a little soap and water and soft toothbrush to free it of oil, lotions and perfumes that can build up on the surface. However, you might also prefer to allow the jewelry to continue changing as you wear it.

For two-toned pieces where bright silver is contrasted with dark, you can retain that contrast by carefully brushing the bright part with fine sand paper, being careful not to take off the black part.

If a piece completely loses its patina (which it should not), in most cases you can return it to be re-oxidized. Please call me to discuss it. 503.317.2019.
