Meet and shop from artists in Baltimore and across the country, and celebrate its regional craft scene
Normally I travel back east for this 600+-artist show. Though I’ll miss seeing my Maryland friends and all the artists I’ve come to know, I’m quite happy to be an armchair traveler…and seller this year.
The website for the event isn’t live yet but you can visit this link for Baltimore Craft Week, and sign up to get updates. Better yet, by becoming a member of the American Craft Council, you’ll get priority access to the marketplace ahead of the general public.
Each artist will have only 15 items in their shops (replenished as pieces sell), and there is a central checkout, which is very convenient for shoppers who want to explore more than one artist’s work.
Each of ACC’s virtual marketplaces focuses on the history of craft in that particular region. You can expect a week of artist talks, artist playlists, virtual tours and more.
Baltimore Craft Week is an online marketplace featuring more than 150 makers from Baltimore and across the country. This immersive, weeklong event will introduce you to emerging and established makers from diverse backgrounds creating innovative work in a range of craft mediums. Members will have the opportunity to shop before the general public so they don’t miss out on limited items. Curated shopping experiences and artist storytelling will be main features of the event, with programming highlighting regional community partners and reinforcing the importance of craft in our lives.
